Mark Zuckerberg challenged Bill Gates to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Wednesday, and it only took Gates two days to accept and respond. The challenge started in honor of Boston College alumnus Pete Frates, and Gates is the latest big name to dump freezing cold water on his head to raise awareness for Lou Gehrig’s disease. Gates was enthused by Zuckerberg’s nomination, saying he wanted to outdo all challengers before him. I’m glad to give to ALS, it’s a great cause. I want to accept this challenge and do it better than it’s been done.
